New for 2010 at Shutters
Each year at Shutters we spend a minimum of $5000 - 10,0000 in upgrades and maintenance. For 2010 that expense will be well over $25,000. Below are some of the highlights
Expanded pool deck More expanded pool deck
New expanded pool deck & landscaping.

We have removed some of the thick brush on the north side of the pool, added 10 feet of additional pool deck and 4 chaise lounge chairs. This will be good news to our sun worshipers in the early Spring and late Fall when the house blocks the sun to part of the pool area. Landscaping is not in yet, but I guarantee it will look great. My wife Beverly has been in charge and she never does anything halfway .  I will update the photos when the renovation is complete.

Renovation of the Tower Deck

In 2004 and 2005 hurricanes Ivan, Dennis, and Cindy roared through the 30-A area and forced water underneath the tile into the decking of the tower. Eventually that wood rotted and the entire deck had to be rebuilt. I know it doesn't look like much, just some new tile, but this was very expensive to do. The entire deck roof was taken off down to the beams, two new layers of plywood, 3 new layers of deck water proofing, and finished with new 18" tile.
